Following the federal government’s claim of technically defeating the deadly boko Haram, the terrorists group has changed camp base from the known Sambisa forest to another camp close to Lake Chad region
The sect according to Amnesty International’s Tuesday announcement has killed at least 381 Nigerians and Cameroonian between April 2017 till date.
Amnesty International report claimed that an estimated 223 Nigerians have been killed in different attacks since April, with 100 killed in August alone while 67 young women and girls have so far been abducted in the region.
According to Amnesty International, a handful of civilians across the Lake Chad region are in need of humanitarian assistance as over 2.3 million people have been displaced from their homes.
