NPFL 2016/2017 SEASON PLATEAU UNITED WEARS THE CROWN

As the Nigerian Professional League draws the curtain for the 2016/2017 season, the Jos based football club, Plateau United have been crowned the winner for the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, their first-ever win, after amassing 66 points from 38 matches.

The Kennedy Boboye’s side in yesterday’s match defeats the 2015/2016 champions Enugu Rangers International 2-0 to clinch the coveted trophy and cash of N50million

Plateau United FC was named the 2017 championship after the season went down with just one point ahead of the Lagos based MFM football club.

While Plateau United earned the maximum three points in the  match day 38 cracker to hit 66 points, but MFM loosed out, in a 1-2 loss to El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri.

Former CAF champions Enyimba International of Aba came third with 61 points followed by Akwa United with 60 points to maket the fourth position.
