Its time we set the ball rolling for all those cheap monks who shower accolades on the Government of Plateau state with no just reason.
A clear look at the state in the last two years have recorded no infrastructural development, I came across a bulletin yesterday celebrating the two year old administration of Governor Simon Lalong Bako, stating out of the obvious that he constructed the gada-biu farin gada fly over amongst other things which were clear to have been the achievements of the past administration, inclusive is the Tetfund project in the Plateau state university Bokkos.
Now the point here is that, the more we praise this government that it is doing well, while it is not because we derive stipends from it, the more setbacks we record as a state, my take is that, while we get what we can from the said government, we must be objective and tell the truth to our said god-fathers and plate fillers.
While we give applauds in the wrong direction, let’s know that we are not only destroying the political career of he who is on seat, but ours as well, because the society is watching, our level of awareness in politics is increasing by the day, record have shown that those who insult and downcast any administration are those who benefited most from it, take for example, the cowardly act of the immediate past Attorney General of The State who serve for two terms and finally feels he is god-father thereby biting the finger that fed him and saying that his boss never did well, with all sense of responsibility, if your employer is a criminal and you don’t like his ways must you continue working? He should have resigned office that way we would have known how sincere he was, but waiting until the term of office has elapsed before you recognize the flaws of your employer was cowardly.
Not only looking at the executive on one hand, I must state that the Plateau state house of Assembly has become a ludo game house where supposed law makers only meet to share pleasantries, the State Assembly has become so careless of the recent happenings in The State, or maybe they don’t know their responsibilities and a legislative arm of government, they only complain of the constituency allowances which has not been paid over time and failed to put the constituent interest first by ensuring good governance for all. Particularly I am most disappointed with these supposed law makers.
I must state categorically clear here that, plateau state has not witnessed any meaningful achievement as compared to the financial supports from the paris club fund, bail out funds and several loan facilities accorded the state recently.
Please don’t kill the enthusiasm the electorates are beginning to get in governance with your selfish and senseless gains, let’s tell the truth, let’s make plateau state better not minding who is on seat and who is supporting.
