A legal practitioner and chairman of Kusamotu & Kusamotu Law firm, Mr. Ayodele Kusamotu, has called on educated citizens in Nigeria to help save the country’s political terrain which is been dominated by people whose objective is to divert the country’s resources into their private purse.
The Legal luminaire made this call in Lagos at the investiture and Induction ceremony of the 34th President and members of the board of directors of Rotary Club of Tin Can Island, District 9110, Nigeria.
Kusamotu who was the guest speaker at the epoch making event however called on the educated class to rise up and participate in electoral processes to deliver the society from the current political vampires who pretend to be our leaders, but are actually toying with our national destiny.
The guest speaker in his speech called on the ruling class to go back to the fundamentals of leadership, stressing that there is the need to devise means of saving the country’s ailing economy from the shackles of poverty and the bad leadership it has found itself over the years.
The newly installed president, Rotaract Chiemeka Ezenwanne, in his speech listed some of his projects, which include the provision of 50 wheel chairs, provision of 100 sticks for the blind, grants to widows and renovation of Alakoto Nursery and Primary School, among others.
Other dignitaries at the event were the Eze Nya na Umunya, Igwe Kris Onyekwuluje, Director general of Rotary club in Ogun and Lagos state, Rotaract Wale Ogunbadejo, Mr. Chidozie Nwankwo, the immediate past president, Tin Can Island Rotary Club Rotaract Samson Enema, Mr. Emmanuel Dangana and Mrs. Adeyemi Akingbade among others.
