Former Brazilian international and Real Madrid striker Robson de Souza popularly known as Robinho, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for sexual assault on a 22-year-old Albanian woman in a Milanese disco.
The footballer according to Football Italia, committed the act on the 22 of January 2013 when he was contracted by AC Milan football club.
Inside Sources gathered that the 33 year old footballer will be given an opportunity to appeal the sentence along five other men who were also found guilty in the case as the Italian law system allows for several levels of appeal before any sentence is enforced.
Robinho was earlier in January 2009 accused of molesting a university student in a Leeds nightclub but didn’t face any charge is currently playing for Atletico Mineiro in his native country Brazil having moved back to the Brasileiro Serie A after a brief stint with Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015.
