The management and staffs of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) at the Muritala Muhammed Airport Lagos was yesterday thrown into confusion as a Nigerian woman with the identity of Mrs. Modupe Abaniwonda was found dead onboard of the Emirate airline to Lagos from Dubai.
Sources at the airport disclosed that the decease left Dubai, the United Arab Emirate to Lagos, Nigeria on Friday night with the passport number: A07562816 on flight EK783 (DXB) only to be found dead when the plane landed in Lagos on Saturday morning.
The airline crew on arrival to Lagos notified the medical team of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) who immediately swung into action and later confirmed Mrs. Abaniwonda dead.
Sources at the airport who disclosed that Abaniwonda’s death is not the first Nigerian to die onboard Emirates coming into Nigeria hinted that FAAN officials together with the staff of the airline at the Lagos Airport had since evacuated her body from the aircraft and moved her to the general hospital in Ikeja.
