The Republic of Benin’s telecommunications regulator has withdrawn the operating license of Nigeria’s indigenous mobile telecommunication company, Globacom.
According to information made available to Inside sources the Benin Republic telecommunications regulator ARCEP withdraws Glo Benin license following a dispute over new terms of operation.
A spokesperson for ARCEP-Benin who spoke under anonymity said the telecom regulator took the decision when the Glo Mobile Benin earlier this month refused the new conditions imposed by the government of the Benin Republic.
Meanwhile some Nigerians has accused the government of Benin Republic of firing back at Nigerians after the Nigerian government stopped importation of used and some food items coming in from Benin republic which might have had some negative effects on the country’s economy.
