A truck belonging to the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) yesterday rammed into an aircraft operated by Air Peace at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, leading to flight disruptions.
The Air Peace Communications Manager, Chris Iwarah who confirmed the incident in a statement said the incident occurred in the morning during loading of passengers’ luggage into the cargo hold of the aircraft leading to the Uyo-bound passengers on board the aircraft to be rescheduled to fly later in the day as the door of the rear cargo hold of the aircraft was impacted and damaged in the incident.
Iwarah in the statement disclosed that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) were already investigating the incident.
