FATHER AND SON ARRAIGNED FOR KILLING EFCC INFORMANT IN LAGOS

The Baale of Temidire community in the Alagbado area of Lagos Najeem Abioye was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ikeja High Court alongside his son Wahab Abioye for allegedly killing one Olatunji Rasak who was said to be an informant of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.

The prosecutor M.T. Adewoye told the court which was presided over by Justice Hakeem Oshodi that the  defendants and some others who are now at large, killed the EFCC’s informant by shooting him with a gun and cutting him with a machete and some other dangerous weapons at around 10.a.m on July 20, 2015 at the Temidire Area of Alagbado, Lagos where Najeem is said to be the traditional ruler.

The Baale and his son however, pleaded not guilty to the charges which according to the prosecutor, is an offence that contravenes Sections 221 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2011 while the case was adjourned to March 19 for trial.

Counsel to the accused Adebayo Lawson begged the court to allow his client maintain the bail granted to him during the previous arraignments at the Magistrates’ Court.
