The joy of every young man is to relax and live a peaceful life after retiring from their hustling during their youthful days, this turns sour for former Super Eagles player Wilson Oruma who is said to be suffering from mental disorder after been dumped by a so called man of God.
Oruma’s case went from bad to worse after six years of losing all he had made during his football career to an unknown man who claimed to be a pastor and some scammers who defrauded the ex-international to the sum of N1.2 billion with oil business investment.
Oruma who once played alongside the duo of Austine JJ Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo to mention but few according to a close friend Emakpor Dibofun has been to several places in search of a lasting solution to the mental situation as a result of the fraud but rather than improvement, it gets worse after a bit of improvement.
The midfielder during his career featured in the Nigerian’s U-17, U-23 and was also among the Super Eagles squad to the World Cup in 1993, the Olympic gold in 1996 and two bronze medals at the African Cup of Nations in 2002 and 2006.
He also played for some international clubs like RC Lens, Nancy, Samsunspor, Nimes, Servette, Sochaux, Marseille, Guingamp, and Kavala FC of Greece before hanging his boot on the 26 of November 2010 at the age of 33.
