Recall the story of one Ifeanyi Dike, a Port Harcourt based suspected rapist and murderer who once escaped from Port Harcourt police station, the young man again has caused another drama as he collapses in court just when his trial was about to commence.
Dike was arraigned before Justice Adolphus Enebeli of the Rivers State High Court for allegedly killing and removing the genitals of his 8 years old niece Chikamso Favour after raping her some times in August 2017.
Dike who was arraigned alongside Ogochukwu Nnamiro and Sergeant Johnbosco Okoroeze as the second and third accused respectively, made a loud shout when his case was mentioned and subsequently refused to take his plea.
Meanwhile Justice Enebeli with this drama declined the request by his counsel, Lizinna Ameegua who urged the court to order that a mental examination be carried out on him to ascertain his mental status.
Dike after this drama collapsed in court thereby forcing Justice Enebeli to adjourn the case to January 16, 26 and 29, 2018 for a definite hearing on a day to day basis after the second and third accused persons had pleaded not guilty.
Dike and his counsel earlier in the court had raised an objection to the trial on the ground that the information filed by the prosecution was incomplete and then urged the court to discharge Dike which fell on deaf ear.
