PALM SUNDAY PANDEMONIUM IN ILORIN –      Two People feared dead

There was pandemonium yesterday, Sunday 25th March 2018 at the challenge area of Ilorin, Kwara State.

The peace and celebration of the Christian Palm Sunday was shattered when a mob of okada riders pounced on the driver of a sienna mini bus and beat him to death.

Investigations conducted by Inside Sources revealed that the sienna bus driver had earlier knocked down an okada driver around the Royal Shekinah suites along Offa garage road. In the driver’s bid to escape mob action at the spot of accident, drove on dragging along the wreckage of the motorcycle and its rider.

An action which the bye standing okada riders alleged resulted in the death of one of them. They therefore pursued the sienna in a hot chase before catching up with him at the challenge area where he was dragged down from his vehicle and lynched to death.

Meanwhile, Inside Sources spoke to the Kwara state Police Public relations Officer on phone to confirm the incidence. In his response, he confirmed there was an accident involving a sienna. He however said nobody was lynched as police personnel got to the site of mob action at the point of lynching commencement.
