According to the information gathered by inside sources the executive governor of Edo state Godwin Obaseki, has allegedly ordered the suspension if Oredo ward councillors for pledging their support for Ize-Iyamu in the forthcoming 
gubernatorial election.
According to ChrisOsaMediaGroup, governor Obaseki he wrote;
The embattled Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki has ordered the illegal suspension of seven dully elected Ward Councillors from Oredo Local Government Council, who recently endorsed the candidacy of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for the September 19, 2020, Edo Governorship election.
Seven out of the twelve Councilors elected to represent the good people of Oredo Local Government, including Hon. Bright Alabi Aisien, the representative of Ward 04, the outgoing Governor’s ward, have all maintained their loyalty to the APC despite all intimidation and threats to force them into decamping to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongside Obaseki.
Others were, Hon. Smart Ehiozee (Ward 03), Hon. Omoregbe Edes Samuel (Ward 7), Enabulele Godfrey (Ward 8), Hon. Reliance Okungbowa (Ward 9), Hon. Ogiemien Efosa (Ward 11), and Hon. Osasere Eweka (Ward 12).
ChrisOsaMedia reliably gathered on Thursday that the seven Ward Councillors have been illegally suspended by five councillors and Mr Jenkins Osunde, the incompetent Chairman of Oredo Local Government Council on the orders of the embattled Mr Obaseki. The report says their lives are currently under threat over their political choice.
These are the latest victim of Godwin Obaseki’s insensitivity and political victimisation. When will the embattled governor learn to stop criminalising free choice with his harassment and intimidation of people to forcefully join him in his emergency party?
