At the inauguration of the minister of Water resources and Sanitation Engr. Prof.Joseph Utsav, former Governorship Aspirant of the All Progressive Congress His Excellency Silas Akoso joined prominent distinguished Nigerians to grace the historic event ,the occasion marked a significant milestone. Since the creation of Benue state in 1976 it has not produced someone to oversee the affairs of the Ministry of Water Resources.
The leader of the party in the North Central who doubled as the SGF Senator Dr George Akume Dajoh was represented at the Ceremony by his amiable wife Chief Hon. Mrs Regina Akume JP+(Mummy Action) in her remarks sued for peace and unity amongst the Benue people and urged them to rally round the new minister to enable him succeed.
Prominent dignitaries in attendance included the immediate past Governor of Benue state H.E Samuel Ortom,distinguished Senator Titus Zam,Elder Simon Shango,Hon.Austin Agada,Prof Dickson Akoh,Hon.Terwase Tsumbu,Hon.Terseer Ugbor,Hon,Dickson Terkigir, amongst others.
